Playing with Fire by L.J. Shen Review
I honestly have never read a book by L.J Shen that I haven't at least enjoyed a little. But when I tell you this one takes the cake, I mean it. I LOVED IT. Once I dove into it, I didn't want to put it down.

My Review:
"...we are all just phoenixes, rising from our own ashes..."
This story follows Grace and West and their hard but beautiful journey. Both being burnt from their pasts, we see them rising from the ashes of it. I loved them both, but Grace Shaw has a special place in my heart. Her strength, courage, sassiness got her there. She has an amazing development. We definitely see the phoenix rise.
L.J's writing and these characters made me swoon, shed a few tears, smile, and also got me wanting to never leave these pages behind.
One thing I also really liked was the way the book dealt with forgiveness and acceptance.
"...even though forgiveness is the underdog in the battle of feelings, it should always win."
Overall, an excellent read, full of feelings, with amazingly written characters and a story about growth and rebirth.
And that's it, folks!
I apologize for this post not being about the challenge like I said it would be, but when this book came out I was so excited to read it, and once I finished it, I really wanted to post about it.
Also, I recently started a new semester of college which may mean less time for reading books.
Yikes.
That sucks just thinking about it. I am gonna go cry in the nearest corner but I will try to post here soon again...
Wish you all the best,
